Our Approach
Our approach is to respect what's in place, how it got there, and meet the organization where it is using a strengths-based approach as opposed to a deficit-focused one.
Of course, to meet every different organization 'where it's at' requires variations on approach. Some teams are as small as two staff, some Boards as large as fifteen members. Sometimes challenges are sourced back to the Board, sometimes to structure, and sometimes organic growth has simply made the patchwork of policies and procedures look like the back of a wall of IT servers with hundreds of cables, wires, plugs and old ways of doing things all intertwined.
Before we start 'unplugging' those cables to rewire an organization or its strategies, we make sure we assess the situation thoroughly enough to understand systemic causes, define the real problem(s), and map those wires carefully. After all, once a change process is started, it's tough to put back in a bottle!
With a good understanding of the culture, pace, adaptability, talent and political dynamics of the current situation, then we work with the team(s) to facilitate the ideation of potential solutions. Bringing out the best of people, creating an environment safe and creative enough to solve wicked problems, and letting it breathe is priceless - we love this part. Finally, long-term success then rests in developing the most direct path to implementation, evaluation and evolution.
